To combat the housing shortage in France, the government has expanded the number of municipalities that can apply the Taxe d'Habitation on Second Homes (THRS).
They have the option of increasing the initial amount of this housing tax from 5% to 60%.

7 NEW ELIGIBLE MUNICIPALITIES IN THE PAYS DE GEX 🔍
In the Pays de Gex, 7 new municipalities are eligible for the THRS:
60% increase in 2024 🔥
Divonne-les-Bains, Grilly, Sauverny and Pougny have voted for a 60% increase on the THRS from 2024.
New Eligible Candidates Without Known Deliberation
Lélex, Mijoux and Chézery-Forens are also concerned. No known deliberations to date on the THRS of these municipalities.
